UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | The highly anticipated 9th Annual Uganda Real Estate Conference and Expo will be held this Wednesday 10th Nov 2021.

The Real Estate Conference is an important annual event in the Real Estate Industry in Uganda. The conference brings together practitioners in the Real Estate Industry. These include land owners, developers, property managers, engineers, lawyers, brokers, agents, academicians, key decision makers and representatives from government departments and ministries.

Organised by the Association of Real Estate Agents, Uganda (AREA-U), the event is being held at the Fairway Hotel, and will be streaming live on Zoom from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

H.E. President Yoweri K Museveni is expected to attend the event as chief guest, as well as Hon. Judith Nabakooba, Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development as guest of honour.

An impressive line-up of keynote speakers will join the discussion on various hot topics under this year’s theme – “Fast forward to the future”. The speakers include:

This highly interactive event is designed to draw out solutions to the challenges facing the Real Estate industry in Uganda.

The Real Estate Sector has been affected immensely by the effects of COVID 19, with the closure of workplaces, businesses, bars, schools and other entertainment centers having a negative impact on the industry. Coupled with the reduced working hours from 5:30am to 7:00pm, reduced income, and and an increase in vacancies, the sector is struggling to recover.

This is further aggravated by a lack of regulation in the Real Estate Sector in Uganda. There are a lot of unscrupulous practices in the sector that have led to losses to government in terms of revenue. It has also led to an increase in crime causing a threat to the security of Ugandans.
