UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | Mutabingwa Tonny has been arraigned before the Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on charges related to land title forgery. This happened on at the end of last month 2024.

The Anti-Corruption Unit, in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) of Uganda, brought the charges.

Tonny is accused of Fraudulent Procurement of a Certificate of Title and Forcible Entry.

The allegations against Tonny and his alleged accomplices, who are still at large, state that between December 2022 and March 2023, they forged court orders.

These alleged forged documents were used to register their names on a certificate of title for land located at Block 244 Plot 8328 in Kisugu, Makindye Division, Kampala City.

According to the charges, after securing the alleged forged land title, Tonny and others mobilized graders and a group of individuals armed with machetes.

They allegedly forcefully and violently removed crops and trees from the land. Subsequently, the land was graded, subdivided, and sold off.

The authorities continue to investigate the matter, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the alleged land title forgery.
