UGANDA, Bukomansimbi | Real Muloodi News | In the heart of the serene village of Buyovu in Bukomansimbi, a storm of controversy has erupted, casting a shadow over the reputation of Mayuge RDC’s family.

The centre of attention is a government vehicle, a Toyota double-cabin with registration number UG 4302C, linked to alleged land-grabbing activities. Local police seized the vehicle, unravelling a series of events that have left the community in an uproar.

Eyewitnesses claim that Mayuge RDC Madoi Elijah’s wife, Annet Madoi, and her brother, Kayemba Robert, exploited the official vehicle to intimidate villagers, asserting their authority in land matters.

The duo, identifying themselves as State House employees used the government vehicle to allegedly advance their land-grabbing scheme, causing unrest among the residents.

A recorded video captured Kayemba Robert threatening 87-year-old Kazige Lawrence, heightening tensions in the community.

The vehicle, strategically hidden in a cauliflower forest, was discovered by a police patrol, adding intrigue to the unfolding investigation.

During questioning, Mayuge RDC’s family struggled to provide satisfactory answers, raising suspicions about the purpose of Annet Madoi’s use of a government vehicle and her undisclosed government job.

The Buyovu community expressed deep concerns over the alleged land-grabbing facilitated by the official vehicle.

Residents reported sightings of the vehicle being driven by individuals in military uniforms and civilians, fueling tensions in the area.

Abdulsalaam Ssembuya, a resident, voiced the community’s unease, stating, “The vehicle has been in the area for three days now, sometimes driven by people in military uniforms and sometimes by people in civilian clothes.”

As frustration escalated among residents, calls for urgent intervention from President Museveni and concerned authorities reverberated in the village.

Luwaga Joseph Kitayimbwa, another resident, appealed for swift action to address what the community perceives as an abuse of power.

Responding to the outcry, Bukomansimbi deputy RDC Fred Kalema Pax and DPC Romeo Onec ordered the arrest of Kayemba Robert, Annet Madoi, and the driver, initiating further investigations into the alleged land-grabbing activities.

Bukomansimbi district chairperson Nyenje Fred Kayiira issued a stern warning against the misuse of State House influence.

“All those who think they will use the State House to grab people’s properties in Bukomansimbi district will face consequences,” Kayiira declared.

As the investigation unfolds, the community awaits revelations about the depth of the alleged land-grabbing activities and the involvement of Mayuge RDC’s family members.
