Mob Kills Two Men over a Land Dispute in Wakiso

UGANDA, Wakiso | Real Muloodi News | Two men were killed by a mob in Wakiso District on 24th February during a land dispute. According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy police spokesperson, the incident occurred when a group of men attempted to clear crops on disputed land in Busukuma Division.

This land dispute in Wakiso between Ben Kiwanuka and Ambrose Akikiriza has lasted since 2001.

Unknown individuals were found grading and cutting down crops on the land, and the police were called in to intervene.

When the police arrived, the individuals on the land fled, leaving two bouncers behind who were beaten to death by a mob.

The police have since arrested two suspects, John Bosco Damulira and Alex Anguyo, and charged them with criminal trespass and malicious damage.

Owoyesigyire has stated that investigations are ongoing, and both parties involved in the dispute have been summoned to provide verification documentation.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
