Vision Group and Ham Group of Companies Form a Partnership

UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | In a strategic partnership aimed at driving economic transformation and creating employment opportunities for young people, Vision Group and Ham Group of Companies have joined forces.

The partnership was announced during a courtesy visit by Vision Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Don Wanyama, to the offices of Ham Group’s proprietor, Hamis Kiggundu, in downtown Kampala.

During the visit, Don Wanyama commended Hamis Kiggundu for his remarkable achievements in business and his commitment to fostering growth in various sectors such as real estate, education, transport, and logistics.

Wanyama expressed surprise at Ham’s establishment of companies beyond Uganda, including ventures in the United Kingdom and the United States.

“I am even surprised to learn that he even established companies outside Uganda like in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. This makes him a big player in our economy, and a serious media house like Vision Group would love to partner with him through exchanging ideas with the intent to make our country better,” he said.

He acknowledged Ham as a major player in the Ugandan economy and emphasised Vision Group’s interest in partnering with him to exchange ideas for the betterment of the country.

The visit aimed to foster collaboration between the two entities. Don Wanyama, accompanied by key members of Vision Group’s team, engaged with Hamis Kiggundu to identify potential areas of partnership.

The discussions focused on how Vision Group could add value to Ham Group of Companies, including its sports facility, and explore opportunities in branding, broadcasting, printing, and outdoor advertising.

Hamis Kiggundu expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with Vision Group, emphasising his belief in the power of collaboration to transform Ugandan society.

“It is my pleasure to partner with the leading media house in the country, and in addition to what the CEO has said, additionally, in line with mindset, I would like to partner with Vision Group so that we can transmit the ‘reason’ for our fellow Ugandans,” he said.

He highlighted the importance of reasoning and mindset in bridging the gap between success and failure, asserting that Uganda is not a poor country but rather needs a change in mindset to overcome poverty.

Kiggundu shared his aspiration to partner with Vision Group to transmit this “reason” to fellow Ugandans and inspire social-economic transformation.

“Uganda is not a poor country, we simply fail to reason out poverty. If I have done it, so can other Ugandans,” he said.

By partnering with Vision Group, Hamis Kiggundu aims to facilitate the easy transmission of knowledge to Ugandans.

He believes that this will play a vital role in changing mindsets and driving actual prosperity, shifting the focus from mere survival.

Kiggundu emphasised the need for a collective change in mindset and expressed confidence in Vision Group’s ability to contribute to this transformative journey.

The collaboration between Vision Group and Ham Group of Companies holds significant potential for driving economic growth and societal transformation in Uganda.

With their respective expertise and resources, the partnership aims to foster innovation, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the overall development of the country.

“Through Vision Group, I am optimistic that knowledge will be transmitted easily to many Ugandans and this will ensure that at least we change the mindset of our people towards actual prosperity, from a mere survival,” he noted.
