This highly interactive event is designed to draw out solutions to the challenges facing the Real Estate industry in Uganda.

The Real Estate Sector has been affected immensely by the effects of COVID 19, with the closure of workplaces, businesses, bars, schools and other entertainment centers having a negative impact on the industry. Coupled with the reduced working hours from 5:30am to 7:00pm, reduced income, and and an increase in vacancies, the sector is struggling to recover.

This is further aggravated by a lack of regulation in the Real Estate Sector in Uganda. There are a lot of unscrupulous practices in the sector that have led to losses to government in terms of revenue. It has also led to an increase in crime causing a threat to the security of Ugandans.

Under this background, the topics for discussion during the event include:

  • Effects of Lack of Regulation on the Growth of the Real Estate Sector
  • The Role of Government in Post COVID-19 Recovery
  • Crafting Solutions to Real Estate Issues
