UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | Tensions at Old Kampala Secondary School (SSS) have escalated as accusations of bribery and land grabbing tarnish the institution’s administration.
Former board member Emundu, accused of collaborating with Deputy Headmistress Apolot, is under suspicion for allegedly bribing CID headquarters with 15 million shillings to obstruct the appointment of the new board of governors.
Emundu’s significant defeat in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) elections, securing only three votes against Nagadya Josephine’s 120, highlights his lack of parental support.
These actions raise concerns about Emundu’s possible affiliation with land grabbers, signalling an underlying animosity towards the school.
Apolot, who claims connections to the Ministry of Education and alleged ties to mafia groups, is also implicated in the land-grabbing scheme.
Old students and parents are determined to take decisive action against Emundu and Apolot, citing their perceived malicious intentions.
The deliberate delay in appointing the new board is seen as a strategy by Emundu and Apolot to shield their nefarious plans from exposure.
Additionally, individuals like Egesa, Musinguzi, and Kamwenzi, purporting to be old students, are accused of using proxies to hinder the appointment of the newly elected old students’ representative in the Ministry of Education.
The Old Kampala SSS community stands united against these individuals and their alleged malicious intentions to seize the school’s land.
The future of the school hangs in the balance, with the determined school community being the key to safeguarding its legacy.
