UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | Since OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022, the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot tool has gone viral, gaining global attention for its remarkable capacity to produce precise and efficient writing, from emails and essays to poetry and even lines of code based on a user prompt.
Professionals from industries including publishing and law have embraced the remarkable tool, praising ChatGPT for its ability to simplify their work, enabling them to be more efficient and productive in their jobs.
Now, real estate agents in Uganda are catching on to how the AI chatbot to help them save time on tasks such as drafting legal documents and writing property listings.
ChatGPT has been trained on vast amounts of online data and has the ability to produce a range of elaborate and coherent outputs in mere seconds. For example:

That took less than 5 seconds to produce. Edwin Asaba, a Kampala-based broker, says that it would have taken him over an hour to write a similar description on his own. He says that while he may make some tweaks and edits before publishing the final version, ChatGPT, generates a great starting point to build on.
“The ability to produce a draft description in less than five seconds by entering a few keywords into the tool is just amazing,” he says.
Other real estate agents have also found ChatGPT to be helpful in their work. Faith Sanyu, a broker and property manager, has used the tool to draft legally binding addendums and other documents, as well as to write social media posts and listings.
“ChatGPT has become an essential part of my work process, I can no longer imagine functioning without it,” she says.
Kevin Nuwe, a real estate agent also in Kampala, uses ChatGPT to help draft emails to clients and other professionals, such as lawyers and surveyors. “I have even used ChatGPT to calculate return on investment for clients,” he says.
The use of ChatGPT through the OpenAI platform is currently free of charge. Although your internet service provider or mobile network operator may charge you for data usage while you are interacting with the chatbot tool.
In February this year, OpenAI launched ChatGPT Plus, a new subscription plan for $20/month, that offers priority access to ChatGPT during peak times and faster response times. For now, ChatGPT Plus is only available to customers in the United States, although OpenAI says they plan to expand access and support to additional countries and regions soon.
