UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | If you find yourself looking to move into a new apartment, there are two options to choose from, either a furnished or an unfurnished apartment. Both of these types of apartments have their advantages and disadvantages.
Let’s look at them below.
Furnished
Furnished apartments are equipped with several home amenities to aid your stay. These include a bed, perhaps even a study table and chair. Often, the kitchen and sitting room areas also come fully equipped, including sofas, a television set, cups, pans, plates, and other cooking and eating accessories.
Furnished apartments can either be luxurious or regular. Furnished luxury apartments are normally set up like a real home, with bedroom(s), closet, kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom(s).
A regular furnished apartment could be a studio with basic amenities like a bed and chair.
Furnished apartments are mostly ideal for vacationers and other people looking to stay short-term in a particular place. Otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense to buy furniture for a house you are planning on staying in for only two months.
When choosing a furnished apartment, you must consider the location, facilities, special features, character, and design. Choose an apartment that not only caters for your aesthetic but is also practical for your needs.
Unfurnished Apartments
Like furnished apartments, unfurnished apartments come in all shapes and sizes. Their intrinsic characteristic is that they come empty, and you have to fill them up with your furniture and other home accessories.
This is the major difference between furnished and unfurnished apartments. Most furnished apartments are chosen depending on the tenants.
If you consider the fact that the place is going to be your home for a long time, then it is hardly a disadvantage.
Unfurnished apartments make up the largest part of the residential apartments industry in Uganda because most people lease them out for a long time.
One of the main advantages of unfurnished apartments is that you can decorate them according to your taste.
A furnished or an unfurnished apartment both have their uses, however, if you’re looking to rent one or the other, consider your budget, location, availability, and the length of the lease agreement.
