UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | First Daughter Patience Rwabwogo, the third-born child of President Yoweri Museveni and Senior Pastor of the Covenant Nations Church in Luzira, recently shared an experience that highlights the financial challenges she faced.

The 46-year-old detailed how she and her husband, Odreck Rwabwogo, nearly lost their home in Buziga due to difficulties with their mortgage payments.

The couple purchased their home approximately 18 years ago, making a down payment and paying off the mortgage through income from their business ventures.

However, they encountered financial struggles that caused them to fall behind on payments, leading to an accumulation of interest.

“We were paying the loan with income from our business. At some point, we had struggles with our business and we got behind in the mortgage and the interest started piling,” Patience Rwabwogo recounted.

The situation became critical when they received a letter from the bank warning that if they did not pay the outstanding interest and bring their account current within seven days, the house would be advertised for sale.

Despite the severity of the situation, the couple managed to secure the necessary funds and settled the interest, thus preventing the sale of their home.

“By God’s grace, we were able to find the money we needed, paid the interest, and brought our account to current,” she said.

Over the next seven years, Patience and Odreck Rwabwogo were able to fully pay off their house. Patience shared this story with her church congregation to illustrate the importance of trusting God and being fearless in following His guidance.

In addition to her role as a pastor, First Daughter Patience Rwabwogo is an accomplished businesswoman. According to President Museveni, she has been involved in various ventures, particularly agriculture.

After completing her university education in Minnesota, USA, Patience started a grain milling business and later expanded into cattle farming.

Her entrepreneurial spirit has been evident since her early adulthood, showcasing her commitment to both her faith and business endeavours.
