UGANDA, Mbarara | Real Muloodi News | Hima Cement Ltd recently launched KAFLUU, the latest innovation to enhance the customer experience. With this chatbot-enabled platform, customers can place their cement orders via WhatsApp. Through Kafluu, customers have another platform to order and access Hima Cement products.
The platform was launched in Mbarara city, and will be piloted first in the western region, before being rolled out to the rest of the country.
As a WhatsApp-enabled chatbot, customers can chat with Kafluu by sending a WhatsApp message to +256800113377, and later, be guided to place their orders.
Kafluu is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling customers to manage their orders and transactions round the clock. In addition, the platform allows customers to make payments through MTN, MoMo Pay, and Bank Transfer.
However, before placing an order, you are required to agree to the platform’s terms and conditions by typing ‘Yes’ to accept or ‘No’ to reject.
This is not the first time Hima Cement has explored a tech-backed distribution approach to ensure convenience and flexibility for its customers. On 1st July 2020, the company announced: “an exciting partnership” with Jumia, Uganda’s number one e-commerce platform.
“We are always looking to improve the customer experience and Kafluu can respond quickly and effectively, enabling customers to place orders, make payments and input their delivery information with ease,” says Israel Tinkasimiire, the Hima Cement Sales Director, in a statement.
The platform will guide the customer through the ordering process, gathering specifics like the product type, number of bags, delivery site, and payment options. Once the customer has confirmed the order, Kafluu will ensure prompt delivery.
Following the same approach as with Jumia, any order of 20 bags of 50kg and above will have their cement delivered for free.
The launch of Kafluu adds Mbarara for the Western Uganda region to the list of Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono areas where Hima Cement has gone an extra mile to offer convenience to its customers.
Jean-Michel Pons, the CEO of Hima Cement, established in a statement that it is Hima’s ultimate aim to create convenience for its customers at every stage of their interaction with their product. The internet is creating incredible opportunities, which Hima Cement is excited to explore. “…customers can easily access our cement, pay online and receive their order in record time, and all this can be done from the comfort of their home,” he added in a statement.
However, customers still have the option to place their orders through their local hardware stores, the Hima Cement call centre, or through Jumia (for Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono).
Hima Cement offers the broadest range of cement solutions, including Multipurpose, Rapidset, PowerCrete, PowerMax, PowerPlus, RoadCem, Minecem, and Supaset.
