UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | Housing Finance Bank has partnered with Easy Housing to provide sustainable and affordable homes to Ugandans, marking a significant step toward addressing the country’s housing deficit. The partnership was launched at the bank’s head office in Kololo, Kampala.
The collaboration between Housing Finance Bank and Easy Housing focuses on constructing climate-resilient affordable homes using sustainable timber and locally sourced materials. This initiative seeks to reduce carbon emissions while offering cost-effective housing that aligns with Uganda’s sustainable development goals.
“We are financing homes that are not only attainable but resilient,” said Christopher Akugizibwe, Home Loans Manager at Housing Finance Bank. “These homes protect families, respect nature, and support Uganda’s vision for sustainable urban development.”
According to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, the country faces a housing deficit of 2.4 million units. The partnership aims to provide scalable solutions to this shortfall by enabling access to quality housing through environmentally conscious construction methods.
Easy Housing’s modular construction model allows families to build incrementally as their financial capacity grows, without compromising structural strength or comfort. The homes are designed to be adaptive and durable, supporting long-term occupancy in a changing climate.
Wolf Bierens, Managing Director of Easy Housing, said: “By joining forces with Housing Finance Bank, we enable more Ugandans to access homes that reflect dignity, safety, and sustainability.”
Under this partnership, customers can access financing through Housing Finance Bank’s Home Loans. The bank offers up to 80% financing, repayment periods of up to 10 years, competitive interest rates, and a loan processing time of 48 hours.
This project is part of Housing Finance Bank’s broader strategy to promote inclusive growth, financial empowerment, and environmental responsibility. The bank aims to extend these housing solutions across Uganda to reach a larger segment of the population seeking stable and secure homeownership.
“The Easy Housing approach is not just about affordability. It provides long-term value for families and the environment,” Akugizibwe added.
Ugandans interested in the initiative can visit any Housing Finance Bank branch, contact the bank’s call centre at 0800211082, or explore details on their official website.
The partnership between Housing Finance Bank and Easy Housing sets a precedent for integrating sustainability with financial accessibility, contributing to a future where more Ugandans can achieve homeownership while preserving environmental integrity.
