Real Muloodi Hamis Kiggundu Donates UGX. 530M to Buy COVID-19 Vaccines

Uganda, Kampala| Real Muloodi News | Hamis Kiggundu, also known as Ham, donated USh 530 million to buy 15,000 COVID-19 vaccines. His employees and tenants will use 5000, and citizens of Uganda will use the remaining 10,000.

Mr Kiggundu has previously donated USh 100 million through his Ham Foundation towards the COVID-19 food relief program. As the young and supportive Real Muloodi handed over the donation, he said: “It is time to give back to Ugandans. Let us save lives. For God and my country.”

He further urged others in the private sector, especially fellow businessmen, landlords, employers, corporate giants and service providers, to contribute and help fellow Ugandans.

About Hamis Kiggundu

Hamis Kiggundu, also popularly known as Ham, is a Ugandan business executive, investor, real estate and property developer, philanthropist and author of the books Success and Failure Based on Reason and Reality and Reason as the World Masterpiece. Mr Kiggundu is the current CEO of the Ham Group of Companies.

Hamis Kiggundu was born in 1984 in Masaka District and attended Kabojja International School in Kampala. He later graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Law. In addition, Mr Kiggundu is well renowned for his philanthropic work.

Furthermore, he established the Ham Foundation in 2019. The foundation works towards improving the community through programs such as food relief and other charities. Mr Kiggundu has donated various resources such as bicycles to the needy and significantly contributed towards the country’s COVID–19 relief funds.

Mr Kiggundu’s Contributions to the Real Estate Sector in Uganda

Mr Kiggundu, in an interview with Mariópolis, explained that business in Uganda, especially in the central, is booming. He is, therefore, trading in commercial buildings as the demand is high. The Real Muloodi has close to 10,000 tenants in the many commercial buildings that he owns.

Mr Kiggundu also claimed he is working on a real estate project that will provide 500 houses, in which he anticipates a two-year completion window. Furthermore, he emphasized that his estate will offer Ugandans unique, modern and international level houses.

He explained: “I want to add value and class to our way of living which has not been the case in Uganda so far. I can see that it is being done in the European countries because I have also tried to invest in the UK.”
