UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | Dr Sudhir Ruparelia’s Victoria University is offering 5290 scholarships to struggling but best learners across Uganda. The Kampala university has declared that it will extend ten scholarships to all 529 members of the 11th Parliament of Uganda.
The university revealed that they had extended 10 Covid-19 tuition relief bursaries to each Member of Parliament.
The university announced: ”Has your MP offered you a bursary? We extended at least ten (10) COVID-19 tuition-relief bursaries to the 529 Members of Parliament (MP). Get in touch with your MP today and grab this chance of joining Victoria University.”
About Victoria University
Victoria University opened in August 2013 and is accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE). The university offers short, professional, postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma courses. The main campus sits in the central business district, Jinja Road in Kampala. According to the letter addressed to the MPs, the university claims to be the only university providing access to education to working students.
“We are privileged to be the only university in the country that has implemented a learning approach where students study while working to gain experience. Cur work-integrated- learning programme is enabling students to complete a program of three years with two to three years’ work experience,” reads the letter addressed to MPs.
About the Scholarship
From a letter addressed to one of the MPs, the university will waive functional fees paid by students once a year that range from USh 350,000–USh 650,000 depending on the student’s degree (i.e., Masters, Bachelors, Diploma etc.). In addition, awarded students will not pay tuition fees ranging from USh 400,000 to USh 930,000, depending on the programme.
