UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi News | The pandemic resulted in two lockdowns in Uganda, which limited all modes of movement. During the lockdowns, many resorted to buying whatever they needed online from food, home utilities to construction materials. Desipite the latest lockdown coming to an end, the trend of on-line shopping has continued.

Kuzimba Services is the new world where you can order all your construction project materials online. Kuzimba Services allows you to order bricks, cement, décor material, plumbing, and everything else you need for a construction project.

Kuzimba Services was established in 2020 by Ephrance Eunice Namugenyi, who is the current Business Store Manager. The website aids estates, sites, homes, buildings/constructions by providing fast engineering solutions and easy access to building materials and transportation.

The website allows users to access experts, carpenters, architects, interior designers, cleaners, and engineers.

“People no longer have to physically move to look for the materials, as they can now be accessed online and delivered at their construction site,” Ms Namugenyi explains.

The website has many products divided into the following categories:

How Do They Work?

The first step to making a purchase is creating an account on the website. Ms Namugenyi explains that once someone registers, Kuzimba Services gets a message that a consumer has started the purchase of a particular product. The customer will receive an email with a work plan and a Request For Quotation (RFQ).

Once the consumer signs and returns the document, Kuzimba makes all the arrangements to deliver the product.

“At Kuzimba Services, we give you reliable service delivery in the fastest time possible, as long as you sign up and keep an account with us,” Ms Namugenyi says.

Fintech in Uganda

According to a study, there are currently 70 FinTechs operating in Uganda, and the number expects to grow exponentially in the following years. Kuzimba Services found its place in Uganda through women in FinTech Hackaton in September 2020. Ms Namugenyi shared that this platform created visibility and exposed her company to the latest financial technology trends. Their participation in the hackathon also helped them develop a cash management system for online businesses.

What’s Next for Kuzimba Services?

Kuzimba Services is currently taking part in the second edition of the 40 Days 40 FinTechs initiative organized by Hipipo in partnership with Crosslake Technologies, Modus box, and Mojaloop Foundation, and sponsored by the Gates Foundation.

For Ms Namugenyi, she sees this opportunity for Kuzimba Services to market its service and grow.
