UGANDA, Kampala | Real Muloodi NewsThe Uganda Buildcon International Expo 2022 showcasing the latest technologies and construction trends, is scheduled to be held from August 11th to 13th at UMA Show Grounds in Kampala.

This International Construction Exhibition will unveil the latest innovations in the construction sector in Uganda and overseas, focusing on building materials, heavy equipment, machinery, tools, engineering, architecture, interior designs, and commercial vehicles, among others.

The main sponsors of the event are the Uganda National Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (UNABEC), the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development (MLHUD), and the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA).

The East African construction industry is progressing and expanding per recent reports due to rapid urbanisation, economic growth, and the rising middle class. This causes more demand in the construction industry because the more it expands, the more the industry stakeholders consider expanding their business.

Trade fairs and business conferences play a significant role in bringing on board up-to-date technologies and construction trends around the globe.

Uganda is expected to register an annual growth of 6.4% within the construction industry, which will contribute to over 12% of Uganda’s gross domestic product.

Although there is ongoing inflation in the economy, the construction industry has kept up with the steady growth and progress, enabling both local and international investors to invest.

Trade fairs at UMA Show Grounds are a must-go because they effectively market one’s company. The African Global Competitiveness Initiative says that trade fairs are the most accessible best practice for acquiring exposure to new markets and clients.

Trade shows also give higher rates of return than direct ordinary marketing and advertising due to the number of clients turning up. The number of potential customers and networks that turn up for trade fairs is much more than those who turn up at a shop.
