The Tax Appreciation Awards ceremony, held in Kampala, recognised individuals and companies that have consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment and adherence to tax regulations.

Despite acknowledging existing tax administration challenges, she assured that the government is actively working to resolve them.

URA Commissioner General, Mr John Musinguzi Rujokyi, referred to the awardees as national heroes, acknowledging the sacrifices made to fulfil their tax responsibilities.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija pledged support for URA, expressing gratitude to taxpayers and development partners for their contributions to reducing Uganda’s dependency on donors.
